Hi Mark, I've been a hedgeye subscriber for over two years. And like Gerardo, I am not able to effectively trade using Hedgeye Advisors products because of the missing information… It's probably because I am a novice investor and I'm a long way from having the confidence to pull the trigger on something involving managing my own money. At the Hedgeye conference in Miami,Keith mentioned possibly having a portfolio solutions managed product that would be rolled out soon, but I've heard nothing more about it since (I assume the KSPY S&P hedged index is something different?). Do you trade your entire portfolio yourself or does somebody help you with it? I would love to find a financial professional capable of trading the portfolio solutions product for me.

Hi DF.

Yes, I remember Keith mentioning that an active ETF may be in the works that would replicate a model Hedgeye portfolio or maybe Keith's long-only ETF portfolio. I'm sure we'll see an announcement at some point.

I trade my personal account myself and my wife, who is a professional portfolio manager, handles my retirement account. In a perfect world, I would be retired and have the time to replicate Keith's trades. For now, I don't want to be as active as Keith is so I stick to a bunch of stocks from the Investing Ideas list and/or Signal Strength list. I'm not that active. As Keith says, you can use the process in a way that works for you.

I'm not qualified to give advice so I'm not going to suggest what you should do. I just know for me it was a matter of taking the leap, starting small and owning a few positions that I wanted to hold long-term. I take some profit or add here and there based on the Risk Range levels or sell something if it breaks trend or falls off the list or loses 6-7% and is not working.

Anyway, hope that helps. Thanks for reading and good luck!

Mark
